A PRODUCTION COMPANY MAKING FILMS IN THE UK AND THE CARIBBEAN
Karen Martinez was awarded development funding from the BFI for her feature film script SCATTERED.
The film is being produced by Natasha Dack-Ojumu at Tigerlily Productions
SCATTERED is a road movie set in Trinidad that sees a British woman, Nikki Hastings, travel to the island to scatter the ashes of a Caribbean grandmother she barely knew. Together with her free-spirited cousin, Jade, Alexa embarks on a wild life-changing road trip to a remote fishing village where they uncover secrets from her family’s past.
SCATTERED was also shortlisted for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
Andy Lambert is developing a feature film in the spirit of his award-winning series The MUTE Series. LOST FOR WORDS is an off-beat take on the state of the collective psyche and features five separate but interlaced human stories from various walks of life. Dialogue is eschewed in favour of the poetry of silence, allowing for a purely visual cinematic language to flourish. Scenes of everyday reality are mixed with sight gags, bone-dry humour, choreographic moments and unexpected “magic realist” twists, shining a light on the nature of “freedom” and the ways in which strange and absurd tendencies permeate people’s thoughts. Think Roy Andersson meets Quentin Dupieux.
